Second Chances

Embroideries on polyester crepe de chine, 2017. 52" x 30"

Second chances beckons a nostalgic reconciliation between distance and landscape, beauty and pain. Movement is inherent in the light material, lending to the idea that experiences move as we move, and in the delicate thread that we see fall - what we attempt to grasp and hold onto, may slip away. While we may we feel loss, we may also understand what there is to gain; discovering new realities while shedding those that do not serve us.

Second Chances, as seen displayed at VCCA studios, along side Uncertainty #2 portraits. 2017.
