Uncertainty

Experimental Self-portraits.

Printed on silk & polyester crepe de chine, 2016. 52" x 30"

Uncertainty links to my series Trajectory, which explores the concept of 'Impermanent Stassis'. Impermanence is one of the essential doctrines or three marks of existence in Buddhism. The term expresses the Buddhist notion that all of conditioned existence, without exception, is transient, or in a constant state of flux. With my series Uncertainty, I am exploring the psychological effects of impermanence (as it relates to my experience as an immigrant), and the consequential vulnerability of self as manifested through instability.
